I specialize in employing traditional techniques to create timeless artwork. Paintings are developed from a source photograph using a traditional palette of archival and lightfast oil paints on linen canvas.
Price is dependent on size and complexity. Portraits containing more than one person or other complicating factors can be discussed via inquiry. Portraits with lower levels of detail may be less than the estimate (see below for examples).
A beautiful painting begins with a strong photograph. In addition to offering painting services, I offer discounted photography services to develop a source image when you commission a painting, if needed.

An Impressionistic (Loose) Commission
The paintings above show a variety of options.
1. A Standard Commission: The first painting is 11x14" and from 2024. It features highly detailed yet simple clothing, with an abstract background. This piece would align to the estimate of $1000.
2. A Specialty Commission: The second painting, created in 2018, is of a burlesque performer. It is 12x16", has a simple background, medium detail in the face, and would be $1250.
3. A "Loose" Commission: The last painting is from 2019. It is 12"x16 and features looser brushwork creating a more impressionistic feel. It would fall about 20% below the estimate and cost $1000 due to the lower complexity.
